Steelers Capture First Robertson Cup

Mike Riley and Chris Leveille paced the Hamilton Steelers attack with a goal and two assists. Drew Schiestel and Jordan Gignac added a goal and an assist each. Mike Ruberto completed the Steelers scoring with a single goal.
Dundas replied with single goals by Mackenzie Wood and Phil Brewer.
Hamilton won the title 2-0 in games over the McCoys. The loss snapped the McCoys title run at eight championships.

The Robertson trophy was presented for the first time to in 1899 to Queen’s University when they defeated the University of Toronto 19-11. It was retired in 1987 and did not return to active competition until 2002, when the Dundas Real McC0ys won its first of eight titles. The cup was not presented in 2020 or 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada.
