Wood's 5 point Night Helps McCoys To Victory

DUNDAS—Mackenzie Wood’s five-point night was not enough to give him top spot in the Allan Cup Hockey league scoring race to him last night in the JL Grightmire Arena.
That went to former Brantford Blast forward Cam Sault, as he assisted on three Hamilton Steelers’ scoring plays in the McCoys 8-5 win over the Steelers.
In addition to Sault, Chris Leveille chipped in with two goals and three assists. Chris Rebernik scored twice and Drew Schiestel assisted on two goals, while Mike Ruberto and Chris Knighton scored once each.
For the Real McCoys, in addition to Wood’s five-point night, Phil Brewer and Igor Gongalsky scored twice each. Gongalsky also set up a scoring play. Brad Bonello and Nathan Longpre had a goal each. Trevor Atkinson and Jake Goldberg set up two scoring plays each.
